Required Documents for Home Loan Financing
The following is a list of the items (can be copies or originals) typically required at time of loan application:
- Purchase Agreement (if available), legible and signed by buyer and seller.
- Pay stubs from current employer, covering the most recent 30 day period, verifying year-to-date earnings and withholdings.
- Check stubs from all retirement benefits (Pension, Social Security, etc.) child support and alimony, covering the most recent 30 day period.
- All applicable retirement benefit award letters, divorce decrees, etc.
- Signed Federal Income Tax Returns with all supporting schedules (for commissioned, self-employed, or rental property owners), covering the most recent 2 consecutive year period.
- Bank, Mutual Funds, 401k, annuity and pension statements covering the most recent 2 consecutive month period. Proof of ownership and value, for stocks and bonds (if applicable).
- Cancelled checks or account statements for existing mortgage (if applicable) or rent, covering the most recent 12 consecutive month period.
- Name, address and telephone number of landlord (if applicable).
- Certificate of Eligibility (DD213) for VA loans only.
